PerrisScope NEW FARMER'S MARKET Outstanding. Fabulous. Terrific. Wonderful. Exceeded all expectations. Those were some of the sentiments to describe the City's first Farmer's Market, an event that drew between 2000 and 3000 people to historic D Street in search of food, fun and home-grown fruits and vegetables. City officials have for years desired an event that would bring residents and visitors to Downtown Perris and serve as a showcase for local merchants and vendors. The weekly Farmer's Market will help raise the profile of historic D Street and highlight Perris' efforts to revitalize its central business district. The City has restored the Bank of Perris Building, recently purchased and completed exterior improvements to the Perris Theatre and is funding (with funds that can only be used for such purposes) new facades for businesses along D Street. City officials expect to restore the look D Perris Street sported in its early days, almost 100 years ago. New landscaping, trees and sidewalks also are part of the improved landscape.

Some commercial beekeepers in San Diego have already been affected by this phenomenon. Heres a virtual movie of the great Edgar Allan Poe reading "To One in Paradise" first published without a title as part of the short story "The Visionary" (later renamed "The Assignation"). It evolved into "To Ianthe in Heaven" and then into "To One Beloved" before being named "To One in Paradise" in the February 25, 1843 Saturday Museum. Modernist poet William Carlos Williams considered "To One In Paradise" one of his most preferred poems.[ The poem inspired a song composed by Sir Arthur Sullivan. "To One In Paradise" was published posthumously in 1904 and written for a tenor voice with piano. It is also the basis of the song To One In Paradise on the Alan Parsons Project 1976 album Tales of Mystery and Imagination. Heres an interesting analysis.. The first stanza establishes a prototypical image of an island paradise. Often we associate Islands with tropical ocean beauty, as well as isolation. So this paradise of the speaker is isolated (only he can see it, in other words). This is further given the qualities of an imaginary love. The second stanza "clouds" cover the image of the dream and the future calls to him to move forward, but he can't get over the past that held the dream. The speaker loses the strength to keep going on with life comparing his grief at the loss of his dreams to other things (tree, etc.) that can't go on into the future once some calaminity happens. The last stanza repeats his spiritual death, while he sees the ghosts of his dream dancing ...
