I am aware this looks rubbish. Athsetics are not my strong point. However it sounds great, very raw and primitive. It was made by taking a gain pedal, hardwiring it into a feedback loop, rehousing and then adding glitch switches to create a drone synth. Tone and pitch can be adjusted by the knobs and it can be played by ear. In the video it is being step sequenced by an electribe drum machine,without it it produces a drone. There are no effects in the video, but adding a filter softens the tone somewhat. Modulation can be added by other pedals so it's not essential. This is about as primative as a synth gets...

nannyo's Famous Bread & Butter Pickles! Thanksgiving in the home of my Mom's mom, Dorothy Oyer, known to generations of kids & Grandkids as nannyo... was right out of a Norman Rockwell painting, complete with the men & boys rabbit hunting in the frost or snow covered fields that morning, to the wood fired stove over it she used to cook literally dozens of treats, beginning preparations days in advance. And as if that weren't enough every visiting aunt or great aunt would bring their specialty... Aunt Bea's Pecan Pie, rhubarb pies, freshly baked breads, green bean salads... the smells and sounds were magical, & still are in my memory. Despite the abundant cornucopia of harvest & homemade treats... that things which I always found most magical was the wonderful simplicity of the green jars of "Bread & Butter" pickles from nannyo's root cellar. That root cellar, pronounced rut seller it was the most dark, damp, & fascinating place at their homestead... In those pickles was so much more than a cucumbers, vinegar & salt... There was the way in which now brought up out of the darkness of the root cellar the shades of green seemed to glow with life. In that bottle were 100's of memories. Memories of Granddad hand plowing his huge 1/2 acre garden, sowing by hand, weeding in the evenings as fireflies began to appear, the hours of various stages of he & nannyo's labor of love... of the hot & humid summer mornings in which cucumbers thrived and seemed to grow a few inches a day ...
